Bourbon-Glazed Roasted Turkey
A simple trick for a juicier turkey is to inject the meat with a mixture of bourbon and orange juice concentrate.

Servings and Ingredients
|1 (16 lb) turkey, thawed|
|½ c. Hy-Vee butter, melted|
|¼ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar|
|2 tbsp. Hy-Vee chicken grill seasoning|
|1 tbsp. Hy-Vee orange juice concentrate, thawed|
|¼ c. bourbon|
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place turkey breast side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, chicken grill seasoning, orange juice concentrate and bourbon. Fill a marinade injector with 2 to 3 ounces of the bourbon mixture. Inject each breast, thigh and leg section one to three times. Brush remaining bourbon mixture over the outside of turkey.
- Cover turkey loosely with foil. Roast for 4 hours or until thermometer registers an internal temperature of 180 degrees. Remove foil during the last 30 minutes of roasting to let turkey brown. Remove turkey from oven and let stand 20 minutes before carving.
