1 lbs. lean ground chuck
2 tbsp. diced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 medium potato, cooked and mashed
½ tsp. garlic powder
1 large egg
½ lbs. fresh mushrooms, sliced (or 1 can mushrooms, drained)

Directions

  1. In an 8-inch loaf pan, mix ground beef, onion, salt, potato, garlic powder and egg thoroughly. Form into a loaf.
  2. Press mushroom slices firmly over entire surface of loaf.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour. Slice and serve.
