1 c. uncooked whole wheat shell pasta
1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee black beans, drained and rinsed
½ c. chopped white onion
3 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select extra-virgin olive oil
1 tsp. Hy-Vee garlic salt
1 tsp. Hy-Vee Italian seasoning

Directions

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions.
  2. Drain pasta and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, cook beans, onions, olive oil, garlic salt and Italian seasoning over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in shells.
  5. Cover and chill 2 hours in refrigerator before serving.
