    1(29 oz) can Hy-Vee sauerkraut
    ½ c.chopped green pepper
    ½ c.chopped celery
    ½ c.chopped onion
    1small jar pimientos, chopped
    1 ½ c.sugar
    ¾ c.white vinegar
    1 tbsp.celery seed, optional


    1. Combine sauerkraut, green pepper, celery, onions and pimientos in large bowl. Set aside.
    2. In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar and celery seed (if desired). Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    3. Boil mixture 5 minutes. Let cool.
    4. Pour over sauerkraut mixture.
    5. Refrigerate several hours before serving. Can be stored in refrigerator up to a week.
