1 (29 oz) can Hy-Vee sauerkraut | ||
½ c. chopped green pepper | ||
½ c. chopped celery | ||
½ c. chopped onion | ||
1 small jar pimientos, chopped | ||
1 ½ c. sugar | ||
¾ c. white vinegar | ||
1 tbsp. celery seed, optional |
Directions
- Combine sauerkraut, green pepper, celery, onions and pimientos in large bowl. Set aside.
- In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar and celery seed (if desired). Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil mixture 5 minutes. Let cool.
- Pour over sauerkraut mixture.
- Refrigerate several hours before serving. Can be stored in refrigerator up to a week.
