Fourth of July Garbanzo Bean Burgers
Servings and Ingredients
|2 c.||pre-cooked or canned garbanzo beans, drained and mashed|
|1||celery, finely chopped|
|1||carrot, peeled and finely chopped|
|¼ c.||finely chopped onion|
|¼ c.||whole wheat flour|
|salt and pepper, to taste|
|2 tsp.||vegetable oil|
|tomato sauce, ketchup or barbecue sauce, for serving|
- Mix mashed garbanzo beans, celery, carrot, onion, wheat flour, salt and pepper together. Form into 6 flat patties.
- Place oil in pan and cook patties over medium-high heat until burgers are golden brown.
- Turn burgers over and fry on the other side until done.
- Serve alone or with tomato sauce, ketchup or barbecue sauce.
