    1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple in juice
    1 (21 oz) can fruit pie filling, any flavor
    1 (9 oz) pkg Jiffy yellow cake mix
    ½ c. pecan pieces or sliced almonds
    ½ c. butter


    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Spread undrained pineapple in an 8-inch-square baking dish. Pour pie filling evenly over pineapple.
    3. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over pie filling. Sprinkle with pecans or almonds.
    4. Slice butter and lay slices evenly on top. Do not stir.
    5. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool 1 hour before serving.
