BBQ Cheeseburger Sliders Meal
Servings and Ingredients
|1 ½ lbs.||90%-lean ground beef|
|1 clove(s)||garlic, minced|
|½ tsp.||Hy-Vee salt|
|¼ tsp.||Hy-Vee pepper|
|12 slice(s)||Hy-Vee American cheese, divided|
|½ c.||Hy-Vee original barbecue sauce, divided|
|12||Hy-Vee bakery wheat cocktail buns|
|2||(16 oz each) pkg Hy-Vee coleslaw mix|
|1 ½ c.||prepared coleslaw dressing|
- Combine ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper in medium bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Lightly shape into twelve 1/2-inch-thick mini patties.
- Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 4 minutes. Turn and baste patties with 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Continue grilling 4 to 5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. It should not be pink in the center and juices should show no pink color. Place cheese slice on burger during last minute of cooking time.
- Place burgers in cocktail buns and serve with additional barbecue sauce, as desired. Combine coleslaw mix with dressing and serve alongside the sliders and apple slices.
