BBQ Cheeseburger Sliders - MODIFIED
Servings and Ingredients
|1 ½ lbs. 90%-lean ground beef|
|1 clove garlic, minced|
|½ tsp. Hy-Vee salt|
|¼ tsp. Hy-Vee pepper|
|6 slices Hy-Vee American cheese, divided|
|½ c. Hy-Vee original barbecue sauce, divided|
|12 Hy-Vee bakery wheat cocktail buns|
- Combine ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper in medium bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Lightly shape into twelve 1/2-inch-thick mini patties.
- Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 4 minutes. Turn and baste patties with 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Continue grilling 4 to 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. Place 1/2 cheese slice on burger during last minute of cooking time.
- Place burgers in cocktail buns and serve with additional barbecue sauce, as desired.
