Think of tofu as a neutral-tasting protein that takes on whatever flavor you put on it, and in this case, it's a sweet chili teriyaki sauce.
Servings and Ingredients
|¼ c.||teriyaki sauce|
|1 tbsp.||sweet chili sauce (or 1 minced garlic clove and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes)|
|1 tsp.||soy sauce|
|1 packet(s)||firm tofu|
|¼ c.||shredded green cabbage|
|2||bird eye chilies, thinly sliced|
|1||scallion, thinly sliced|
- In a small bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, sweet chili sauce and soy sauce. Set aside.
- Drain tofu and cut into 1-inch cubes. Steam tofu in a vegetable steamer on the stove top, 5 minutes, or microwave on 80% power until warm, 3-5 minutes.
- Place tofu squares on serving dish. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced chili and scallion and drizzle with sauce.
