12 (1.5 oz each) frozen boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins, thawed | ||
1 (2.6 oz) pkg Shake 'n Bake original mix | ||
½ c. Hy-Vee white vinegar | ||
½ c. unpacked Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee pineapple juice | ||
¼ c. Heinz ketchup | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee soy sauce | ||
1 ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee cornstarch | ||
2 tbsp. water | ||
4 Hy-Vee pineapple slices, optional |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Coat chicken with Shake 'n Bake as directed on package. Bake on a greased baking sheet for approximately 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
- Meanwhile, bring vinegar and brown sugar to a boil in a medium skillet. Stir frequently.
- Add pineapple juice, ketchup and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Stir until well blended.
- In a small cup, dissolve cornstarch in water. Slowly add cornstarch mixture to the boiling sauce. Stir continuously until mixture thickens.
- Serve sauce with chicken tenderloins and pineapple slices if desired.
