    2 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 c. uncooked Hy-Vee instant rice
    2 Hy-Vee large eggs
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee oregano
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee garlic powder
    dash of Hy-Vee pepper
    1 (15 ounce) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce, divided
    ¼ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar

      Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
      2. Combine ground beef, rice, eggs, salt, oregano, garlic powder and pepper, mixing well. Add about one-fourth of the tomato sauce and mix thoroughly. Form into meatballs, about 1-1/2 inches.
      3. Place meatballs in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
      4. Combine remaining tomato sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl. Pour over meatballs.
      5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until temperature reaches 160 degrees.
