- 12-in. round pizza baking screen or pizza pan with holes
- Hy-Vee nonstick cooking spray
- Muffin pan or several small bowls
Directions
Prepare pizza crust mix dough according to pkg. directions for a thin crust, using hot water. Shape dough into a ball; cover and let rest for 5 minutes.
Spray a 12-in. round pizza baking screen or pizza pan with holes with nonstick spray. Roll out dough into a 12-in. round on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to prepared pizza screen or pan. If necessary, reshape dough to form a round crust.
Place pizza dough on pizza screen or in pan over indirect heat. Close grill lid; grill for 7 minutes. Remove from grill. Turn crust over on pizza screen or in pan. Spread with pizza sauce to within a 1/2-in. of edge; sprinkle evenly with pizza cheese.
Grill, covered, for 6 to 7 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove from grill; let stand for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place desired toppings in separate cups in muffin pan or in small bowls.
Cut partially baked pizza into 6 wedges; leave wedges on pizza screen or in pan. Ask each guest to top a pizza wedge with their desired toppings. Grill wedges, covered, for 6 to 7 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and toppings are heated through. If desired, move pizza screen or pan over direct heat during last 2 to 3 minutes of grilling and grill until bottom of crust is golden brown.
