    Ingredients
    Serves 6
    QuantityIngredientAdd
    3 Hy-Vee large egg whites
    2 ½ tbsp. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    1 tbsp. Hy-Vee cornstarch
    ½ tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract
Hy-Vee food coloring, such as yellow, purple, and green, if desired

    Things To Grab

    • Rimmed baking pan
    • Parchment paper
    • Electric mixer
    • Large bowl
    • 3 small bowls

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper; set aside.

    2. Beat egg whites with an electric mixer on medium speed until foamy. Add sugar, beat 1 to 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Add cornstarch and beat on HIGH until stiff peaks form, about 3 to 5 minutes. Fold in vanilla extract.

    3. Divide mixture between 3 small bowls. Tint each bowl with food coloring, if desired.

    4. Alternate spooning different colors of egg white mixture onto center of prepared baking sheet to form one bread loaf or create 6 mini loaves, leaving about 2-inches between each loaf.

    5. For one large loaf, bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned. For mini loaves, bake 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked through. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
