|2 ½ c. cold Hy-Vee low-fat milk|
|1 (3.4 ounce) package Hy-Vee instant lemon-flavor pudding|
|2 tbsp. grated lime or lemon peel (4 limes or 3 lemons)|
|2 c. Hy-Vee whipped topping, thawed if frozen, divided|
|1 (15 ounce) Hy-Vee bakery prepared angel food cake, torn into bite-size pieces|
- Pour milk into a large bowl. Whisk in dry pudding; beat with whisk 2 minutes or until well-blended. Stir in lime peel. Gently fold in 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping.
- Place one-third of the cake pieces in a trifle dish or clear serving bowl. Top with one-third of the pudding mixture. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining whipped topping and additional lime peel, if desired. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
