6 Hy-Vee maraschino cherries | ||
1 (10.75 oz) frozen pound cake, torn into bite-sized pieces | ||
1 (21 oz) can Hy-Vee cherry pie filling | ||
2 c. Hy-Vee frozen whipped topping, thawed | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee sliced almonds |
Directions
- Spoon pudding into bowl. Stir in almond extract.
- Cut 6 cherries in half and drain on paper towels.
- Place one-third of cake pieces into bottom of a 2-quart to 3-quart clear serving bowl.
- Spread one-third of pudding over cake layer.
- Spoon one-third of cherry pie filling over pudding layer.
- Repeat cake/pudding/pie filling layers 2 more times.
- Spread whipped topping on top pie filling layer.
- Garnish with sliced almonds and cherry halves.
- Cover bowl. Chill at least 3 hours.
- Store any leftover trifle in the refrigerator.
