    4 vanilla pudding snack cups
    ½ tsp. vanilla extract
    6 Hy-Vee maraschino cherries
    1 (10.75 oz) frozen pound cake, torn into bite-sized pieces
    1 (21 oz) can Hy-Vee cherry pie filling
    2 c. Hy-Vee frozen whipped topping, thawed
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee sliced almonds

    Directions

    1. Spoon pudding into bowl. Stir in almond extract.
    2. Cut 6 cherries in half and drain on paper towels.
    3. Place one-third of cake pieces into bottom of a 2-quart to 3-quart clear serving bowl.
    4. Spread one-third of pudding over cake layer.
    5. Spoon one-third of cherry pie filling over pudding layer.
    6. Repeat cake/pudding/pie filling layers 2 more times.
    7. Spread whipped topping on top pie filling layer.
    8. Garnish with sliced almonds and cherry halves.
    9. Cover bowl. Chill at least 3 hours.
    10. Store any leftover trifle in the refrigerator.
