    Serves 24
1 (10-oz.) pkg Hy-Vee Select 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate baking chips, divided
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee unsalted butter
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee all-purpose flour
    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee baking powder
    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    2 Hy-Vee large eggs
    ½ c. Hy-Vee sugar
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract

    Things To Grab

    • Heatproof bowl
    • Double boiler
    • Small bowl
    • Large mixing bowl
    • Tablespoon
    • Baking sheet
    • Wire rack

    1. In a heatproof bowl over a double boiler, combine 1 cup chocolate chips and butter. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let chocolate sit over warm water.

    2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar. Slowly whisk warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Stir in vanilla extract. Fold in flour mixture and remaining chocolate chips. Refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes.

    3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    4. Scoop slightly rounded tablespoons of batter and place on baking sheet. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until the outside looks slightly cracked. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving to wire rack. Do not overbake; cookies will continue to bake as they cool on baking sheet.
