    1 ¾ c. flour
    ½ c. whole wheat flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    ½ tsp. salt
    1 c. butter, softened
    ¾ c. granulated sugar
    ¾ c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 egg
    2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies
    1 c. chopped nuts


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    2. Combine flours, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
    3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add egg; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts.
    4. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
