Tomato Jam for Burgers (Get Cooking)
Servings and Ingredients
|2||large shallots, chopped|
|2 c.||cherry tomatoes|
|1 c.||brown sugar|
|1 c.||granulated sugar|
|1 ¾ c.||white wine vinegar|
|Sea salt and pepper, to taste|
|1 tsp.||fresh thyme leaves|
- Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan. Add shallots and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, brown and granulated sugars, vinegar and water. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes or until thick and syrupy.
- Stir in thyme and allow to cool. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve on top of your favorite grilled burger or with a charcuterie plate.
