⅓ c. Hy-Vee barbecue sauce | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee orange marmalade | ||
1 ½ tsp. ground cayenne pepper | ||
1 lbs. wild-caught U.S.A. raw shrimp (16-to 20-count), peeled and deveined | ||
Wooden skewers, soaked in water | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select garlic-flavored olive oil | ||
2 c. hot cooked Hy-Vee brown rice, optional |
Directions
- For sauce, in a small saucepan, stir together barbecue sauce, marmalade and cayenne pepper; set aside.
- Thread shrimp onto soaked skewers, leaving 1/4-inch space between shrimp. Brush each shrimp skewer evenly with olive oil. Grill 7 to 9 minutes or until shrimp turn opaque, turning once halfway through grilling.
- Stir barbecue sauce over low heat for 3 to 3 minutes or until melted. Place shrimp skewers on plates and drizzle with sauce.
- Serve with rice, if desired.
