|1 (3 lb) pkg Hy-Vee chicken drumsticks (about 10 drumsticks)|
|1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select extra-virgin olive oil|
|½ c. Hy-Vee ketchup|
|¼ c. finely chopped onion|
|2 tbsp. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar|
|1 tbsp. Hy-Vee Worcestershire sauce|
|1 tbsp. molasses|
|1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar|
|¼ tsp. liquid smoke|
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line baking pan with foil and top with a cooling rack.
- Brush chicken with oil and place on rack. Bake chicken for 35 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat ketchup, onion, brown sugar, Worcestershire, molasses, vinegar and liquid smoke over medium heat. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until thickened.
- Brush chicken with sauce and continue to bake 10 minutes, brushing with sauce 2 more times, or until chicken reaches 165 degrees.
