Roasted Button Mushrooms with Garlic and Herbs

|2 lbs.||button or cremini mushrooms|
|4||sprigs fresh thyme|
|¼ c.||extra-virgin olive oil|
|4 clove(s)||garlic, thinly sliced|
|⅛ tsp.||freshly ground pepper|
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick baking spray.
- Wipe mushrooms clean with a damp paper towel. Using a paring knife, trim mushrooms so they are all cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
- In a medium bowl, toss mushrooms with thyme, oil, garlic, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Spread mushrooms onto baking sheet in one layer. Roast 20 to 30 minutes or until browned.
