Pepper Poppers

Description
Pop some of these pepper poppers filled with a creamy and cheesy filling, served with an onion dip or ranch dressing!

1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened | ||
1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese | ||
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese | ||
6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled | ||
¼ tsp. salt | ||
¼ tsp. chili powder | ||
¼ tsp. garlic powder | ||
1 lbs. fresh jalapenos, halved lengthwise and seeded | ||
½ c. dry bread crumbs | ||
sour cream, onion dip or ranch dressing, for dipping |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a 10-by-15-inch rimmed baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Beat together cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, bacon, salt, chili powder and garlic powder. Spoon about 2 tablespoons into each jalapeno pepper half. Roll in bread crumbs. Place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes for spicy flavor, 30 minutes for medium and 40 minutes for mild flavor.
- Serve with sour cream, onion dip or ranch dressing, if desired.
