Oatmeal Raisin Apple Crisp

4 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee lemon juice | ||
⅓ c. Hy-Vee all-purpose flour | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon | ||
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg | ||
¼ c. cold Hy-Vee butter, cut into pieces | ||
4 Hy-Vee bakery oatmeal raisin cookies, crumbled | ||
Hy-Vee ice cream, optional |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8-inch-square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Toss together apples and lemon juice in prepared pan.
- Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Stir in cookie crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
