    4 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
    2 tsp. Hy-Vee lemon juice
    ⅓ c. Hy-Vee all-purpose flour
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee brown sugar
    ½ tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon
    ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
    ¼ c. cold Hy-Vee butter, cut into pieces
    4 Hy-Vee bakery oatmeal raisin cookies, crumbled
    Hy-Vee ice cream, optional


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8-inch-square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
    2. Toss together apples and lemon juice in prepared pan.
    3. Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Stir in cookie crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
    4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
