4 c. peeled, cored and thinly sliced apples (about 4 medium) | ||
2 tsp. lemon juice | ||
1 c. raisin bran cereal | ||
⅓ c. Hy-Vee sugar | ||
⅓ c. Hy-Vee all-purpose flour | ||
½ tsp. ground cinnamon | ||
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee butter | ||
Hy-Vee ice cream, optional |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease an 8-inch-square baking pan.
- Combine apples and lemon juice; place in prepared pan.
- Combine cereal, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well. Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until apples are tender and top is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream.
