    4 c. peeled, cored and thinly sliced apples (about 4 medium)
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 c. raisin bran cereal
    ⅓ c. Hy-Vee sugar
    ⅓ c. Hy-Vee all-purpose flour
    ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
    ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee butter
    Hy-Vee ice cream, optional

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease an 8-inch-square baking pan.
    2. Combine apples and lemon juice; place in prepared pan.
    3. Combine cereal, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well. Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
    4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until apples are tender and top is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream.
