3 medium unpeeled garlic cloves
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select olive oil
1 tsp. Hy-Vee Select balsamic vinegar
Take & Bake French baguettes, sliced and lightly toasted
1 (8 ounce) ball fresh mozzarella, cut into 1/4-inch slices
Fresh basil leaves


  1. Wrap garlic cloves in foil and bake at 400 degrees until softened and skins are spotty brown, about 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Remove and discard garlic skins.
  2. Mash garlic with olive oil and vinegar. Spread onto toasted baguette slices. Top each slice with a piece of cheese.
  3. Broil until cheese begins to melt, 1 to 2 minutes. Top each with a basil leaf.
