Mozzarella and Basil Crostini
Servings and Ingredients
|3 medium unpeeled garlic cloves|
|2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select olive oil|
|1 tsp. Hy-Vee Select balsamic vinegar|
|Take & Bake French baguettes, sliced and lightly toasted|
|1 (8 ounce) ball fresh mozzarella, cut into 1/4-inch slices|
|Fresh basil leaves|
- Wrap garlic cloves in foil and bake at 400 degrees until softened and skins are spotty brown, about 20 to 25 minutes. Cool. Remove and discard garlic skins.
- Mash garlic with olive oil and vinegar. Spread onto toasted baguette slices. Top each slice with a piece of cheese.
- Broil until cheese begins to melt, 1 to 2 minutes. Top each with a basil leaf.
