    1 ½ c. chopped broccoli
    ¼ c. chopped celery
    ¼ c. chopped onion
    1 c. Hy-Vee chicken broth
    2 c. Hy-Vee milk
    2 tbsp. cornstarch
    ⅛ tsp. dried thyme
    ¼ c. shredded Irish Cheddar cheese


    1. Place broccoli, celery, onion and broth in a saucepan; bring to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and cook until vegetables are tender.
    2. In a medium bowl combine milk, cornstarch, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste; add to cooked vegetables.
    3. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Cook 1 minute more.
    4. Remove from heat. Add cheese; stir until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
