Easy Party Sushi Rolls
Servings and Ingredients
|2||sheets nori, halved|
|2 c.||prepared Sticky Sushi Rice, divided|
|Sesame seeds, as needed, divided|
|Roe (Tobiko, flying fish egg), as needed, divided|
|1||large cucumber, sliced, divided|
|1||avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced, divided|
|4 oz.||Hy-Vee FishMarket imitation crab meat, divided|
- Place nori sheet, shiny side down, on sushi rolling mat*. Wet your fingers with water and spread 1/2 cup rice evenly onto the nori. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spoon out roe, as desired. Carefully flip the nori over so that the sesame seed side is down.
- Arrange 1/4 each of the cucumber, avocado and crab in a horizontal line across the middle of the sheet. Grab the edge of the mat closest to you, keeping the fillings in place with your fingers, and roll it into a tight cylinder, using the mat to shape the cylinder. Pull away the mat and cover with plastic wrap. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- When ready to serve, remove plastic wrap. Cut each roll in half, then cut each half into three pieces. Wipe the knife with a moistened towel as necessary to prevent sticking.
- *TIP: To keep the sushi rolling mat clean, place it in a gallon sized plastic bag. Discard bag when done preparing sushi.
