    12 slice(s) Hy-Vee bacon, halved crosswise
    1 lbs. (26 to 30 count) cooked shrimp
    12 wooden bamboo skewers
    2 c. fresh pineapple chunks
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee honey
    2 tbsp. hot sauce
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee canola oil
    crushed red pepper

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Tightly wrap bacon around midsection of shrimp. Push skewer through tail and body of shrimp, on either side of the bacon wrap. Repeat with remaining bacon and shrimp. Add a piece of pineapple to each shrimp skewer.
    3. In a small bowl, combine hot sauce and honey. Brush over shrimp skewers.
    4. In an oven-safe heavy skillet, heat oil and sear each side of skewer for 30 seconds. Bake for about 7 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
