Chef Don's Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Servings and Ingredients
|8||medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed|
|1 tbsp.||crushed roasted garlic, optional|
|4 oz.||butter, melted|
|½ tsp.||white pepper|
- Place potatoes in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Add cold water to cover. Bring to a boil and boil until potatoes are soft.
- Drain potatoes and place in a mixing bowl. Mash potatoes with a potato masher or electric mixer. Stir in garlic, if desired.
- Heat butter and milk in a small saucepan. Add salt and pepper.
- While potatoes are very hot, add the heated milk mixture. Mash or mix until smooth. Keep warm until serving.
