Servings and Ingredients
|4 c.||uncooked old-fashioned oats|
|½ c.||oat bran|
|½ c.||wheat germ|
|½ c.||chopped peanuts|
|¼ c.||sunflower seeds|
|¼ c.||ground flaxseed or chia seeds|
|2 tsp.||ground cinnamon|
|1 c.||raisins or other dried fruit|
|20||containers (6 oz each) non-fat vanilla yogurt or (6 oz each) non-fat yogurt of choice, per each 1/3-cup serving|
|Fresh fruit, if desired|
- Combine oats, oat bran, wheat germ, peanuts, sunflower seeds, ground flaxseed and cinnamon in a bowl or ziplock bag. Stir well to combine.
- When ready to serve, combine 1/3 cup muesli mixture with 1 (6 ounce) container non-fat (or of your choice) yogurt. Stir well to combine. Allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve.
- Alternate preparation: Combine oat mixture and yogurt. Cover and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, add additional milk to thin, if desired. Serve with sliced bananas, fresh berries, chopped fruit (apples, pears, nectarines, or plums work well), or a mixture of fruit.
