    32 caramels, unwrapped
    5 tbsp. light cream
    2 c. flour
    2 c. uncooked Quaker quick-cooking oats
    1 ½ c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    ½ tsp. salt
    1 ½ c. butter, melted
    2 c. chocolate chips
    ½ c. chopped pecans


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave caramels and cream until caramels are melted. Stir together and set aside.
    3. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and melted butter until crumbly. Press half into an ungreased 12-by-15-inch rimmed baking sheet. Reserve other half of oatmeal mixture for topping.
    4. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over crust. Spread warm caramel over chocolate chips and pecans. Crumble remaining oatmeal mixture on top.
    5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
