Caramel Fudge Yummy Bars

⅔ c. evaporated milk, divided | ||
1 packet(s) German chocolate cake mix | ||
½ c. margarine, melted | ||
1 c. chocolate chips | ||
½ c. chopped nuts |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk together. Set aside.
- Mix cake mix, margarine and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk together. Spread half in a 9-by-13-inch pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Pour caramel mixture on top of cake layer. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Drop remaining cake mixture by spoonfuls and flatten slightly with back of a spoon.
- Bake for 20 more minutes. Cool completely before cutting. Store in refrigerator or freezer.
