Baked Parmesan Rice
Servings and Ingredients
|1||(14.5 oz) can Hy-Vee low-sodium chicken broth|
|1||garlic clove, crushed|
|¾ c.||uncooked Hy-Vee long-grain brown rice|
|¼ c.||Hy-Vee shredded Parmesan cheese|
|Hy-Vee black pepper, to taste|
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Bring chicken broth and garlic to a boil in a small saucepan. Discard garlic clove.
- Combine broth and rice in an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish or 8-by-8-inch baking dish. Cover tightly with foil. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until liquid is completely absorbed and rice is tender. Allow to stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
- With a fork, stir in Parmesan cheese. Season to taste with black pepper.
