    1 (14.5 oz) can Hy-Vee low-sodium chicken broth
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    ¾ c. uncooked Hy-Vee long-grain brown rice
    ¼ c. Hy-Vee shredded Parmesan cheese
    Hy-Vee black pepper, to taste

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Bring chicken broth and garlic to a boil in a small saucepan. Discard garlic clove.
    3. Combine broth and rice in an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish or 8-by-8-inch baking dish. Cover tightly with foil. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until liquid is completely absorbed and rice is tender. Allow to stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
    4. With a fork, stir in Parmesan cheese. Season to taste with black pepper.
