    ¼ c. light mayonnaise
    3 tbsp. sliced fresh basil
    2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    8 slice(s) Hy-Vee Bakery whole grain bread
    2 ripe beefsteak tomatoes, sliced
    8 slice(s) crisp-cooked turkey bacon
    1 avocado, pitted and sliced


    1. In blender or food processor combine mayonnaise, basil leaves, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth; set aside.
    2. Toast bread slices. Spread basil mayonnaise onto bread while still warm.
    3. Top one slice of bread with sliced tomatoes, 2 strips bacon and avocado slices.
    4. Top with second slice of toasted bread and serve.
