    Directions

    1. Pat Steaks Dry
Use paper towels to pat moisture from both sides of the steak to form a beautiful crust when cooked.

    2. Season Meat
Top steaks with oil and your favorite seasonings. Gently and evenly distribute seasonings on all sides.

    3. Preheat Skillet and Oven
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add 1 tablespoon Gustare Vita olive oil to a cast iron skillet and heat on stovetop until shimmering.

    4. Sear, Then Oven-Roast
Add steaks to the skillet and sear for 1 minute on each side. Quickly transfer skillet to the oven. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until steak reaches desired doneness.

    5. Test for Doneness
Insert an instant-read meat thermometer into the side of each steak — 130 degrees for medium-rare or 140 degrees for medium doneness.

    6. Let Meat Rest
Transfer steaks to a cutting board and cover. Let rest for 5 minutes while internal heat continues to cook the meat.

    7. Serve
Serve steaks with your favorite sauces. Try one of our sauces that take 10 minutes or less to make: Red Wine Sauce, Peppercorn-Brandy Cream Sauce or Parmesan Gremolata.
