    With Hy-Vee's selection of mouthwatering marinades, you barely have to lift a finger. Choose one of your favorite Hy-Vee marinades and try out this how-to using one of our favorite proteins: steak! Before you start, review these marinade guidelines for steak and other proteins: 
    Chicken Breast: 1 to 12 hours, Chicken Thigh: 1 to 24 hours, Fish (fillet, steaks): 30 minutes to 1 hour, Pork Chop and Loin: 1 to 4 hours, Shrimp: 15 to 30 minutes, Steak (thick cut): 4 to 6 hours, Steak (thin cut): 4 to 6 hours, and Tofu: 30 minutes to 1 hour.

    1. Mix ingredients; pour prepared marinade directly into bag or bowl. 

    2. Add meat to bag or bowl with tongs. If using bag, seal and gently toss to coat. If using bowl, flip meat with tongs to evenly coat; cover with lid or plastic wrap.

    3. Refrigerate in bag or bowl on a sheet pan to prevent spills. Flip bag or stir meat halfway through marinating time.  

    4. Pat meat dry with a paper towel just before cooking; this will help give a better sear. Add extra seasoning as desired.
