1 c. Hy-Vee flake coconut
1 c. Hy-Vee chopped pecans
1 (18.25 oz) pkg Hy-Vee German chocolate cake mix
1 ¼ c. water
3 Hy-Vee large eggs
½ c. Hy-Vee vegetable oil
½ c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter
1 (8 oz) pkg Hy-Vee 1/3-less-fat cream cheese
4 c. Hy-Vee powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place coconut and pecans in bottom of a greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
  3. Prepare cake mix according to package directions using water, eggs and oil.
  4. Pour cake batter over pecans and coconut.
  5. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and cream cheese until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar and spoon evenly over batter.
  6. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
