    1 tsp. Hy-Vee canola oil
    1 clove(s) garlic, roughly chopped
    4 (4 oz each) boneless lean pork chops
    2 tbsp. dry sherry
    2 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
    1 tbsp. Hy-Vee brown sugar
    ¼ tsp. Hy-Vee crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
    1 tbsp. water
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee cornstarch

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and pork chops to pan. Brown one side of chops, about 4 to 5 minutes. Turn over.
    2. In a small bowl, combine sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper flakes and pour over pork chops. Cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
    3. Combine water and cornstarch. Add mixture to pan and cook until thickened.
