|1 (8 oz) pkg Hy-Vee Select sunrise blend with quinoa flakes|
|1 ½ c. Hy-Vee 33%-less-sodium chicken broth|
|2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select extra-virgin olive oil|
|1 c. diced onion|
|1 c. shredded carrots|
|1 c. diced celery|
|½ c. diced fennel bulb|
|2 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped|
|1 ½ tsp. dried sage|
|2 tbsp. water|
|1 c. Hy-Vee pecan pieces|
|½ c. firmly packed fresh parsley, optional|
- Prepare sunrise blend with quinoa flakes according to package directions, using chicken broth in place of water.
- Meanwhile, warm olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add onion and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add carrot, celery, fennel, garlic and sage. Mix well, add water and cover. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Add prepared grains to vegetables and stir in pecans and parsley. Serve immediately.
