    1 (8 oz) pkg Hy-Vee Select sunrise blend with quinoa flakes
    1 ½ c. Hy-Vee 33%-less-sodium chicken broth
    2 tbsp. Hy-Vee Select extra-virgin olive oil
    1 c. diced onion
    1 c. shredded carrots
    1 c. diced celery
    ½ c. diced fennel bulb
    2 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
    1 ½ tsp. dried sage
    2 tbsp. water
    1 c. Hy-Vee pecan pieces
    ½ c. firmly packed fresh parsley, optional


    1. Prepare sunrise blend with quinoa flakes according to package directions, using chicken broth in place of water.
    2. Meanwhile, warm olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add onion and saute for 5 minutes.
    3. Add carrot, celery, fennel, garlic and sage. Mix well, add water and cover. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until vegetables are tender.
    4. Add prepared grains to vegetables and stir in pecans and parsley. Serve immediately.
