Pumpkin Pie Pastry Leaves
Servings and Ingredients
|1 Hy-Vee refrigerated pie crust|
|Hy-Vee all-purpose flour, for dusting|
|1 Hy-Vee pie baking kit (for leaf cutter)|
|1 egg yolk|
|1 tbsp. Hy-Vee milk or cream|
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Unroll dough on a lightly floured surface. Press leaf cutter into the dough so the leaves are cut out completely on all sides. Place leaves on a baking sheet.
- Whisk together egg yolk and milk or cream. Brush on leaves.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on a wire rack.
