    1 c. Hy-Vee margarine
    2 c. sugar
    ½ c. water
    1 tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 (6 oz) pkg chocolate chips
    ½ c. pecans


    1. Heat margarine, sugar, salt, water, and syrup in a saucepan to light-crack stage. Test by placing a few drops into a cup of ice-cold water. It should form a brittle thread.
    2. Pour onto ungreased cookie sheet. Spread with spatula.
    3. When candy feels warm to touch, sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand a few minutes, then spread with spatula. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
