Place broccoli in a medium bowl. Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a 10-inch cast iron skillet over medium-low heat. Add garlic; cook 30 to 60 seconds or until fragrant. Stir in remaining thyme mixture. Pour melted butter mixture over broccoli; toss to coat. Set aside.
Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter and olive oil in same skillet over medium heat. Place chicken thighs in skillet, skin side down. Cook 20 minutes, turning once after 10 minutes. reduce heat to medium-low. Cover skillet and cook 10 to 15 minutes more or until chicken reaches 165 degrees.
Meanwhile, preheat air fryer to 350 degrees according to manufacturer's directions. Lightly spray air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Stir broccoli mixture. Working in batches, spoon broccoli mixture in a single layer into basket; lightly spray with nonstick spray. Air-fry 4 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned, shaking basket 2 to 3 times during cooking.

Bake broccoli alongside the chicken for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
To serve, transfer air-fried broccoli to serving plates; top with cooked chicken. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 tablespoon fresh thyme, if desired.
