    8 frozen breaded chicken strips
    ¾ c. That’s Smart! shredded mozzarella cheese, divided, plus additional for garnish
    4 That’s Smart! hot dog buns
    4 tbsp. That’s Smart! unsalted butter
    1 tsp. That’s Smart! Italian seasoning
    ¼ tsp. That’s Smart! garlic salt
    ¼ tsp. That’s Smart! crushed red pepper flakes
    ¾ c. That’s Smart! spaghetti sauce , divided, plus additional if desired
    4 tbsp. That’s Smart! grated Italian style topping, divided

    • Rimmed baking sheet
    • Aluminum foil
    • Silicone pastry brush


    1. Arrange breaded chicken breast strips on one side of a foil-lined baking sheet; sprinkle 3 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese in each of 4 hot dog buns. Arrange the buns on the other side of the pan and place them in the oven. Heat the oven to 400 degrees and cook until chicken is heated through and cheese is melted.

    2. Meanwhile, melt butter in the microwave with Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and crushed red pepper flakes.

    3. Remove the pan from the oven (leave the oven on) and spread 3 tablespoons That’s Smart! spaghetti sauce on top of the melted cheese in each bun, then arrange some of the chicken strips inside the buns. Drizzle additional spaghetti sauce on top of chicken, sprinkle with additional mozzarella if desired, then brush with melted butter mixture. Return the pan to the oven and cook until hoagies are hot and bubbly. Top each sandwich with 1 tablespoon That’s Smart! grated Italian style topping before serving.
