    You've heard of baking bacon in the oven, but have you tried this twisted candied version with a kick of heat?

    Bacon slices
    Hy-Vee brown sugar
    Hy-Vee red pepper flakes


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet or pan with aluminum foil.
    2. Sprinkle bacon slices with brown sugar and red pepper flakes. Tightly wrap slices around metal skewers and place in prepared pan.
    3. Bake for 30 minutes or until spirals are well-browned and crispy.
