Almost-Like-Grandma's Hungarian Goulash
Grandma would be proud of this slow-cooked comfort. You could even serve it over vegetable ribbons—she'd want you to eat your veggies, right?
Servings and Ingredients
|1||(1.2 pound) package ground turkey|
|½ lbs.||ground sirloin|
|1||small onion, finely chopped|
|1 c.||carrots, finely chopped|
|½ c.||celery, finely chopped|
|1||large clove garlic, minced|
|1||(15 oz) can Hy-Vee low-sodium chicken broth|
|1||(15 oz) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce|
|1 tbsp.||smoked paprika|
|Freshly ground Hy-Vee pepper|
|1 lbs.||Hy-Vee egg noodles, cooked according to package directions|
|Hy-Vee sour cream, optional|
Things To Grab
- Large skillet
- 5-quart slow cooker
- Brown ground turkey and ground sirloin in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain well and place in a 5-quart slow-cooker.
- Stir in onion, carrots, celery, garlic, chicken broth and tomato sauce. Stir in paprika and pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 6 hours.
- Serve with hot, cooked egg noodles and, if desired, sour cream.
