    1. First thing's first, mix, bake, and completely cool the cakes for our Midnight Black Nebula Cake. Place one cake layer on a cake plate and spread 1/2 cup strawberry frosting on top. Repeat with a second and third layer. Top with fourth layer. Frost top and sides with remaining frosting. Freeze 30 minutes or until frosting is set.

    2. Begin with black. Using a small offset spatula, dollop top and sides of cake with Over the Top really black buttercream decorating icing.

    3. Layer in colors. Repeat process with Over the Top princess pink and ocean blue buttercream decorating icing.

    4. Cover remaining areas of cake with dollops of Over the Top very violet buttercream. decorating icing.

    5. Run a large offset spatula on top and around sides of cake to create smooth streaks of color. Once smoothed, top with a recipe of Out-Of-This-World Bark for garnish.
