Description
These cubes are especially good in a salad of mixed greens and grilled vegetables.

8 oz. steamed tempeh, in 1/2-inch cubes | ||
2 tbsp. lower-sodium soy sauce | ||
1 tsp. sesame oil | ||
½ tsp. dried tarragon | ||
½ tsp. garlic powder | ||
¼ tsp. black pepper |
Directions
- Steam tempeh by simmering it in water or flavored broth for about 20 minutes before using.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put tempeh cubes in medium bowl.
- In small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, tarragon, garlic powder and black pepper. Pour over tempeh cubes and toss to coat well.
- Put cubes onto a nonstick or lightly oiled baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring once.
- Cool cubes and toss into mixed green salad. Store leftover cubes in the refrigerator.
