    1 (6 ounce) green bell pepper
    1 (6 ounce) onion, peeled and sliced
    1 (4 ounce) Italian sausage link

    Directions

    1. Wash bell pepper. Remove and discard core and seeds.
    2. Slice pepper and place on a paper plate. Cover plate with a paper towel.
    3. Cook in a microwave oven at 100% power for 3 minutes and 30 seconds (700-watt oven) or for 2 minutes and 27 seconds (1000-watt oven). Set aside.
    4. Place sliced onion on a paper plate. Cover with a paper towel.
    5. Cook in a microwave oven at 100% power for 2 minutes (700-watt oven) or for 1 minute and 24 seconds (1000-watt oven). Set aside.
    6. Cut sausage into 4-inch links. Puncture several holes in each link with a fork.
    7. Place sausage in an 8-1/2-inch microwave browning skillet. Cook at 100% power for 1 minute and 30 seconds (700-watt oven) or for 1 minute and 3 seconds (1000-watt oven).
    8. Turn links over with finger tongs. Cook at 100% power for 1 minute and 15 seconds (700-watt oven) or for 52 seconds (1000-watt oven).
    9. Push sausage to center of browning skillet. Surround with cooked peppers and onions. Cover skillet with lid.
    10. Cook at 50% power for 2 minutes (700-watt oven) or for 1 minute and 24 seconds (1000-watt oven).
    11. Let stand 1 minute. Serve in skillet.
