    ½ c. butter, softened
    ½ c. margarine, softened
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    5 eggs
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    ¾ c. granulated sugar
    1 c. broken pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Combine butter, margarine, brown sugar and flour until crumbly. Pat into 9-by-13-inch pan.
    3. Bake for 10 minutes.
    4. Reduce oven temperature to 275 degrees.
    5. Whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, pecans, vanilla and salt. Pour over partially-baked crust.
    6. Bake 50 minutes. Cool before cutting into bars.
